Offline-first, by design
Everything you do — creating an inspection, rating items, adding photos and notes — is saved to your device immediately, with or without a connection. You never have to think about "saving," and a dropped signal in a stairwell or a rooftop never costs you work.
How syncing works
When you're online, InspectoMX syncs automatically in the background: your local changes push up to your account, and anything new on the server comes down. There's no manual export or import, and no "sync" button to remember. The sync status indicator in the app shows you when it's up to date.
Using more than one device
Your account isn't tied to one phone. Sign in on another phone, a tablet, or a computer and your synced clients, properties, inspections, and templates are there. A practical rhythm:
- Let an inspection finish syncing (watch the status indicator) before you switch to another device.
- Sign in on the second device while online so it can pull your data down.
- Work from whichever device suits the moment — phone in the field, desktop for report review.
Your data stays yours
Each account's data is kept separate on the device. When you sign out, InspectoMX clears the local data for that account, so a shared or borrowed device never leaves one person's inspections visible to the next. Signing back in re-syncs everything from your account.
If something isn't syncing
- Confirm you're actually online — sync resumes automatically when the connection returns.
- Give it a moment; large photo batches upload in the background.
- Still stuck? Sign out and back in while online to force a full re-sync.
